Hey, fellow Michiganders/Detroiters, I'm a transplant and it was cool to check out this site http://www.viewsofthepast.com/topics/towns.htm but, I couldn't find anything on Warren, MI or the other landmark stuff from back in the day of Detroit... Wonderbread, Stroh's Brewery. Also, is the James Vernors Pharmacy the same Vernors of Vernors Gingerale?? just wondering. Thanks in advance. I enjoyed seeing these old pics as I hope you will to. Of Course it's before our times but, just the same if this is your thing you will enjoy it! Especially Belle Isle as I'm standing up in a friend's wedding July11 and we'll be having our reception there at DYC. Have a nice day everyone! take care. The German thanks for the added info on the DYC. I purchased some old b&w pic from the store in Frankenmuth and I have them hanging up and down ea. side of my basement staircase. Belle Isle, Olympia Stadium, etc. cool pics I liked the place they had some old trick photos back in the day where it has a big ship coming down the middle of downtown. cool stuff.
